The building was built as a main warehouse in 1915 by Sulzer Ltd. and was in use until the 1980s. From the 1990s, the former Sulzerareal industrial area gradually fell into disuse, which lasted to the present day. That is how the lofts, including the ones at 10 and 12 Pionierstrasse, came into being in 2001. Nowadays, the building is a listed building.
