Living

181 square metres, right in the centre and with a broad infrastructure close at hand, so our guests can enjoy wellness, relaxation, shopping, going out, culture and adventure in a setting that harks back to an industrial era.

Eating

As well as a luxuriously appointed kitchen which will fulfil almost every desire, there is a wide variety of restaurants and bars to suit every need and budget. Would you like to let yourself be pampered in the Loft? No problem, as various home delivery services are available to make your wishes come true (brochures available).

Sleeping

The Loft has space for eight people (maximum four double beds) and a cot can be provided if required. The bedroom has an extra-long double bed (220 cm), a double folding bed in the sauna area (190 cm), a double mattress (200 cm) for the office area and a sofa bed (190 cm). There are two toilets, two showers, three washbasins and one bath tub.

Handling, technology and equipment

• Arrival

  When you first arrive, we arrange a time with our guests for a personal handover of the keys and a short introduction. Printable map

• Departure

  We ask that you vacate the Loft by 11.00 so that we can welcome the next guests at 15.00. If the next guests will be arriving later, a later departure can be arranged.

• Underground parking space

  The Loft has its own underground parking space on the second basement level of the Kesselhaus multi-storey car park, right next to the Loft. The car park is open to the public and a further 100 parking spaces are available.

• Mini bar/breakfast

  Beer, Coca Cola, iced tea and mineral water is available in the fridge at a price of CHF 2.00 per drink. The cream for coffee and the jam in the fridge are free of charge, as are the portions of butter and the bread for toasting in the freezer, so that there is always something for breakfast for our overnight guests.

• WiFi and media

  In the Loft, our guests have access to free high-speed Internet, cable TV, a BOSE sound system with the Deezer music streaming service (premium subscription), Apple TV, a tablet and Zattoo (live TV — premium subscription). Comprehensive instructions in both German and English are provided for you.

• Sauna

  The sauna is designed for four people. Robes, towels for the sauna and two loungers are provided for our guests.

• Laundry

  There is a washing machine with various detergents, a tumble dryer, an iron and ironing board as well as clothes racks and a trouser press.

• Payment

  We accept payment in cash, advance payment, Eurocard/MasterCard, Visa, Maestro and EC Card. We will gladly prepare an invoice for Swiss citizens.

• Location

  The loft is very central and is located right next to the Winterthur railway station. All windows are fully soundproofed to ensure your relaxation cannot be disturbed. Windows that do not overlook the railway line can be opened. All the windows are fitted with electric sunshades so you can screen them to suit your needs.

• Indoor climate control

  Our sophisticated climate control system ensures that all areas of the Loft are supplied with fresh air at all times. Underfloor heating ensures a constant temperature and the bedroom also has remote-controlled air conditioning. The shades should be used to in the rooms in summer, otherwise the Loft can get uncomfortably warm.

• Security

  Both the Loft and the underground car park space are very secure, including at night! If you have valuables with you, an easy-to-use safe is built in to the bedroom wardrobe. The underground car park has video surveillance. There is very little traffic around the Loft because nearly the whole of the Sulzerareal is now a pedestrian zone. The old town of Winterthur is also the largest car-free pedestrian zone in Europe!
